Dr. Nomura helps children and teenagers find happiness and success in their lives.

He has worked effectively with clients who come with a broad range of challenges, from severe conditions such as bipolar disorder and autism spectrum disorders to difficulties with stress and adjustment. Problems that affect our behavior, feelings, and relationships may seem impossible to fix. Dr. Nomura uses scientifically proven strategies and a trusting, understanding relationship to help his clients find lasting change.

In addition to being a Licensed Psychologist, Dr. Nomura is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Doctoral, Nationally Certified School Psychologist, and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology. He is contracted with a large area school district where he assesses and treats students with a variety of emotional, behavioral, and developmental disorders. Additionally, he leads weekly training sessions in psychological assessment for pre-doctoral interns and supervises post-doctoral students. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Houston. Dr. Nomura has received specialty training in cognitive behavioral therapy, group therapy, behavior analysis, behavioral therapies, interpersonal therapy, and education law. Dr. Nomura’s services to the public schools are limited to school hours, and he enjoys working with private clients in the evenings and weekends.

Dr. Nomura has been married to Mariah Nomura, LPC, since 2001. Their family includes two beautiful daughters, two cats, and one dog. Dr. Nomura enjoys reading, playing with his daughters, exercising, and spending time with friends and family.
