We provide specialized services for children, adolescents, adults, older adults, couples, and families.
Our clients’ physical and psychological health are extremely important to us. For that reason, the clinicians at Houston Psychotherapists are taking extra precautions to make face-to-face meetings as safe as possible. In addition, we are offering telehealth services. Now offering Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a research-supported treatment for trauma. Based on the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model, EMDR assumes that our brains have natural processes to recover from stressors. However, when those stressors are significant, trauma can get stored in maladaptive ways and may cause our nervous system to react in the present as though a past event is occurring now.
Our clinicians possess training & expertise in the following areas:
- Depression & mood disorders
- Trauma recovery (PTSD)
- Anxiety disorders
- Self-injury
- Postpartum depression
- Coping with chronic pain or medical conditions
- Anger or stress management
- Grief counseling
- Teen emotional & behavioral needs
- Parent education
- Gender expression & sexuality*
*Our clinicians provide affirming care for LGBTQ+ youth, adults and their families. We do not engage in or condone the use of conversion or reparative therapies as these have been proven harmful to people and are not founded in scientific knowledge.

Many people seek counseling services simply to increase self-knowledge and understanding and gain renewed focus for pursuing life goals.
